Dating and relationships can be a real battlefield. Sifting through the pile of trash to find the hidden treasure, so to speak, is by no means an easy feat! It can sometimes feel near impossible. After so many bad experiences, it can be difficult to accept the love of a good man. Being treated well can feel foreign to many of us, to the point where we may even attempt to sabotage the relationship. So, before you try to push him away, again! – here are the signs he’s the one for you, and that it may be time to let your guards down and accept that he’s not going anywhere!

He makes you feel totally at ease and you don’t feel like you have to put on an ‘act’ to impress him in any way, or mask your true personality. You feel free to be yourself, knowing he loves you for who you are. He doesn’t try to change you, or mould you into someone else.

He doesn’t judge your past and he doesn’t nit-pick everything you do. He makes you feel loved and accepted, and he embraces all your faults and imperfections. He has seen you at your absolute worst, and witnessed countless breakdowns, but yet he is still by your side. His unconditional love and support makes you want to be a better version of yourself.

He loves all the things that make you, you! He finds your weird little quirks and habits adorable and endearing, when other boyfriends may have been annoyed by your ‘oddities.’

His face lights up when he sees you, and you can feel the warmth and affection he has for you through his eyes. He looks at you like you’re the most beautiful thing he’s ever seen, and he always seems fascinated by you.

He makes you feel secure and he comforts you when you are having a bad day. You know you can always turn to him when life gets hard. He has a magical way of making you feel better!

He is a gentleman. He treats you the way you deserve to be treated and he doesn’t take you for granted. He’s always finding adorable ways to make you feel loved, special and happy.

He factors you in to everything he does, and every decision he makes. Your happiness is incredibly important to him.

He will stick up for you and he won’t let anyone hurt or disrespect you. He consistently has your back and he’s always in your corner. You feel supported by him, and valued.

He loves to talk about all the fun things the two of you will do together, and he makes it clear that he intends to be in your life for a long, long time.

He is true to his word and he won’t stupid play mind games with you, or try to manipulate you. He calls when he says he’s going to call, and you know what to expect from him.

You trust him – completely, because he has never given you any reason to doubt him, whatsoever.

He has always been inquisitive and curious about you, and wanting to learn more about who you are as a person.

He always wants to hang out with you and he’ll tell you how much he misses you when you’re not together. He won’t be able to get enough of you!

From the get go, there will be a sense of familiarity between you both. Almost like you knew each other in another lifetime. There will be an undeniable connection between you, and an overwhelming feeling of being ‘drawn’ to each other.

You feel like you can tell each other anything, and everything. You are able to be open and honest, and you have the best conversations!

He wants you to meet his friends and family, and he’s eager to show you off to his colleagues. He never wants to leave you out of things. He makes it clear to you, and to others, just how important you are to him.

He takes the time to process everything you tell him. He is always interested in what you have to say and he values your input and opinions.

You never have to wonder if he is into you, or not. He will be open and honest about how he feels. He will express how much you mean to him, on a regular basis. You just know he’s totally mad about you!

He passes every crazy test you throw at him, and foils every attempt you make to push him away. He keeps fighting for you, over and over!

He has the patience of a saint when it comes to you. He’s cool, calm and collected. He knows how moody you get when you’re PMS’ing, and he does everything he can to make you feel better. He’s mature and in control of his emotions.

He has a way of knowing what’s going on in your mind. He understands you in ways that no-one else ever has. He’s a total pro when it comes to analysing you, and he knows exactly how to handle you on your bad days.

He remembers things that even you have forgotten about. He never forgets an anniversary or other important dates. He remembers these things because he cares!

The right guy will make you feel like a million bucks. Your life will make more sense with him in it, and you won’t be able to imagine life without him. His presence is calming, and comforting. You will know in your gut, that he is the one that you’re meant to be with.

The right guy will never leave you questioning things. He will be open and honest about how much he adores you, from the outset.

He will go out of his way to make you feel special, loved and cared for. He is trustworthy, loyal and a man of his word.

He includes you in his life, and wants the world to know how much you mean to him. He makes it clear that he sees a future for the two of you.

He will always be there for you when you need him, and you know you can turn to him during difficult times.

He knows and understands you better than anyone else.

He’s not just your man, he’s your best friend!
